Youth Ministry

Every Wednesday, the youth of DPC gather for element, a time designed just for youth to connect with each other, to connect with God, and to have a good time.  Youth Choir meets weekly from 6:00 to 7:00, dinner is from 7 to 7:30, and element continues until 9:00.  Check here for upcoming events and the latest information.

Every Sunday morning, from 9:45 to 10:30, we have PB + J (aka: church school classes) for all grades.  Students in grades 7-12 meet in the Youth Room on the second  floor of Andrew's Hall for a time together before breaking off into small groups.  Join us!

Summer Trip Registrations Have Begun!

From February 1st- March 21st, registration for DPC's 2012 Summer Trips will begin.  Please submit a completed health form and $50 deposit for each trip you/your student is interested in attending.  Final costs for the trip will be determined in May/June. If you have questions, please contact the church office or Megan Craig. Chaperones are needed for each trip. Please contact Megan or Bryant if you are interested.

Meet us in the Celtic Cross Room for dinners every Wednesday at 7pm. Friends are always welcome!

 

Things to look forward to...

 Sunday, May 6- George Bush Park "Hang Out" Day- Join us for an afternoon of frisbee, volleyball, soccer, tag, or whatever else we feel like doing!  The plan is to just hang out- no strings attached!!  Dinner is not provided and will be cancelled if it rains.

Sunday, May 13- Youth Sunday!- Come for worship as the youth group participates and runs both services.  If you would like to involved, be sure to let Megan know, too!

Wednesday, May 30- FINAL element- Our last element will be a special night for middle schoolers and high schoolers, alike.  Middle school will meet at Art Shull’s dairy farm, Blue Bell Meadows Farm, at 7pm for dinner, a tour, a bonfire, and outdoor games. Address for the farm is 7060 Groveland Road, Pipersville.  High school will meet in the Celtic Cross Room for a special senior dinner and good bye, including a trip to town for ice cream. Something for everyone- you don’t want to miss this!!

*Should it rain, middle school will just meet in the gym at DPC…

 

 

 

Now serving on Sundays... PB+J!

It's a whole new Sunday morning.

Sunday school with a tasty twist. 

We're in a new room, have a new program and a new team of teachers sure to make Sunday mornings great.  Are you PB or JAM?  Join us in the new youth room, in the new and ever-improving Andrews Hall. *PB+J is the new Church School for students in grades 7-12 and will meet in the Youth Room located on the 2nd floor on Sundays from 9:45-10:30am.

Confirmation for 2012

Confirmation kicked off this year with a great turnout for our Jan. 8th  workshop. Remember to get your registration money, signed covenants, and youth profile cards turned in by Thursday, January 12th. Looking forward to a great 2012 class!

June 3 - Session 7, 5:30-8:30pm (due to  Celebrate the Arts)
June 9 - Confirmation Dinner, 6pm
